This milkshake and coffee recipe takes less than 10 minutes to make, but helps you get health benefits for the whole day.   • 1 cup brewed coffee , cold or at room temperature
  • 1 cup chocolate or vanilla ice cream (low-fat or soy-based works fine)
  • 1/2 cuo cup low-fat (1%) milk or soy milk
  • 1 packet artificial sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (you may substitute vanilla or almond)


  1. Place ingredients in a blender

  2. Cover and blend on high speed for 1 minute.

  3. Pour into 2 tall glasses.

  4. Serve immediately

Recipe Notes

Makes two 12-ounce servings.


  • Top with low fat whip cream.
  • You can add 1 cup of the fresh fruit of your desires and create an even healthier smoothy.
  • Decaf Coffee will work perfectly as well
