Dulce De Leche Affogato Iced Latte
SUMMER RECIPE: DULCE DE LECHE AFFOGATO ICED LATTE
This sweet and simple recipe converts one of my favorite affogato combinations into an iced coffee drink, which I find easier to sip/enjoy on the go. “Dulce de leche” is a thick, caramel-like milk-based spread. The Häagen Dazs version of it is readily available in most grocery stores.
- 1 scoop of Häagen Dazs Dulce de Leche ice cream (any brand of Dulce de Leche IC will do but we like the Häagen )
- 1 double shot of espresso (preferably a sweet, chocolate-heavy blend)
- 4 large ice cubes
- 6 oz . milk of choice
Start by scooping the ice cream into your cup
Pull your espresso shot
Pour the espresso over the ice cream, creating an affogato
Give the affogato a good stir, mixing ice cream and espresso together into a slurry
Pour your milk over the top
Stir again and enjoy!
Suggestions: Garnish with stroopwafel or Biscoff cookie crumbles/slivers. Toffee bits would also work nicely.
